Shalini Bahl, co-founder of The Mindfulness Connection, has over a decade of experience in research and practice of self-awareness and meditation. Her focus has been on bringing mindfulness and meditation to academia, business, and use of social media. She has presented seminars on the science and experience of meditation to college campuses and businesses including corporations in the Middle East. Shalini completed her PhD in marketing from UMass, Amherst MA and her research using dialogical self theory and innovative research methods has been published in top marketing and consumer behavior journals and several books. She has developed and taught curriculums for business schools in online and in person classrooms at all levels including undergraduates, MBAs, and PhDs. She has been a consultant, public speaker, and thought leader on the subject of integrating technological innovations and mindfulness in business and academia to develop a new paradigm that maximizes well-being of all stakeholders.
Shalini was born in India, grew up in Kuwait, and completed her undergraduate degree in commerce and Chartered Accountancy certification (equivalent of CPA) in India, prior to getting her PhD in marketing.
George R. Milne, Market Research Director at The Mindfulness Connection, has over two decades of experience as a market research consultant. He holds a position as Professor of marketing at UMass Amherst, MA. George has won several teaching and research awards for his expertise in the areas of market research, public policy, and Internet marketing. He has extensive experience creating course content and evaluation systems for online and in-class environments. George is an avid runner, skier, and student of Tai Chi.
Ron Martinez, Website, Video, and Technology consultant at The Mindfulness Connection, has an undergraduate degree in computer science from UMass Amherst, MA. He provides creative and technical support for TMC's website and programs. He brings mindfulness to all his creative processes and enjoys mindful walking and biking.
